User Research

QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

We conducted interviews with twelve (12) potential users, aged 16 and up, to learn about the difficulties they experienced when selecting their products. The collection of sample questions is below.

Questions

  • What is your age?
  • What is your profession?
  • What is your education level?
  • Do you use skincare products? Why?
  • What do you apply on your skins?
  • How are you caring for your skin?
  • When on vacation, how do you pass the time?
  • Do you wear makeup on special occasions?
  • Which skincare product is your favorite?
  • Are you aware of your skin type?
  • When was the last time you went for a checkup with a dermatologist?
  • What would be easiest for you to do for your skin?

Key Insights

  • The majority are unaware of their skin type and other issues relating to their skin.
  • Unaware of it, people buy products they see on social media.
  • Because luxurious skin care companies are expensive, they purchase lesser-quality goods.
  • They are unsure about how and when to use the items.
  • Certain people have used it without seeking professional advice, which has resulted in skin damage.

QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH

In order to see how similar potential customers' needs were, we conducted surveys and interviews. It is predicated on the 20 individuals who helped us gain a clearer understanding of a problem.

How often do you visit dermatologists?
Where do you usually buy products?
When did you start taking care of skin?

A persona is generally based on the user research and incorporates the needs, goals, and observed behavior patterns of the target audience.

Used empathy mapping to understands and prioritize user needs. It helps to get closer to what user thinks and feels.
